RICA Engineering can undertake any kind of custom tuning work which requires custom ECM software adjustements for any engine management system, including OEM and standalone. RICA custom tuning must be carried out at the main RICA software development dyno facility in Wateringen, Netherlands.
Custom tuning is where the software in the ECM is optimised to take advantage of non-standard components fitted to the car. For example, a larger turbocharger or a large bore downpipe would require custom tuning because they will exhibit different performance characteristics, often incompatible with the normal RICA software. Without custom tuning you will either not fully benefit from the hardware fitted, or potentially damage the engine or other components.
