First batch of i-Softloaders is set to be delivered March 29 to all our dealers with Pre-Orders!
The new RICA i-Softloader is a handheld programming device which allows you to program your Volvo with RICA software by yourself! Designed and developed entirely in-house by RICA Engineering, the i-Softloader brings RICA ECM upgrades to everyone everywhere!
The RICA i-Softloader does not require a laptop whilst programming the car which means you don't need to carry a laptop around if you want to change the software tuning in the ECM. The i-Softloader can store up to four tunes inside which can be downloaded to the i-Softloader device from any computer connected to the internet using a standard USB cable and special sync software.
Although the i-Softloader device has the capacity to store up to four tunes internally, you can have an unlimited number of tunes made available which can be downloaded to the iSoftloader at any time.
If you own more than one Volvo, your RICA i-Softloader can be used to program more than one car. You don't need a seperate i-Softloader for each car - simply purchase the RICA tune software for each of your other cars and download them to the i-Softloader as required. The i-Softloader has built in error checks to ensure you can only program a car with the correct software.
The i-Softloader also provides basic diagnostics functions allowing you to read and clear DTCs, which is useful if you ever get a CEL or engine running problems that you wish to diagnose.
We will not by way of introduction be able to provide all markets with this new product in the extent that we would like to. Therefore we highly recommend that dealers make Pre-Orders for the ammount of i-Softloaders you think you will need.
Vehicles supported: All Volvo models 1999-2010, including the new 2007+ S80/V70/XC60 Euro 4 and Euro 5 EDC17 diesels.
Coming soon on softloader: 2007+ S80/V70 V8, T6 and 2.5T

New RICA E-Power upgrade for the 2010 D5 Twin Turbo
This upgrade is a milder increase in performance, optimised for fuel efficiency, with the power increasing from 205 hp to 225 hp and the torque increasing from 420 Nm to 460 Nm.
Also available for the 2010 D5 163 hp and 2010 2.4D 175 hp. The 2.4D 175 hp with this new RICA E-Power upgrade delivers 195 hp and 460 Nm

The new revised RICA ECM upgrade for the Volvo 1.6D DRIVe models now delivers the same performance as the standard 2.0D engine, with 139 hp and 320 Nm.
If you are looking for a 2.0D, consider saving yourself some money and buy the 1.6D DRIVe instead. Then simply upgrade it with the new RICA software to get 2.0D performance! Naturally, you also benefit from improved fuel economy with this RICA upgrade, saving you even more money.
For the V70 and S80 models in particular, this will be a much needed power upgrade because the standard performance from the 1.6D engine makes these models rather underpowered.

The BMW Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo comes with 360 hp and 500 Nm as standard, which makes it a very fast car. Now with a RICA ECM upgrade you can make it even faster by increasing the power and torque to 390 hp and 545 Nm, with RICA software alone. No other modifications are required.
The RICA upgrade takes advantage of the lower compression ratio from Alpina which, combined with RICA software optimised for 98 RON, delivers a siginificant improvement in performance.
